The pitch at Loftus Road is small, playing with wide players is almost pointless as they have little room. I would play 4-3-1-2

---------------------------------------Guzan----------------------------------------------------
----Lowton--------------Clark-----------------Baker-------------Lihaj/Stevens-----------
---------------Holman-----------Westwood------------Bannan-----------------------------
------------------------------------------Ireland------------------------------------------------
------------------------------Bent-----------------Benteke------------------------------------

Subs: Gabby, El Ahmedi, Delph, Given, Bowery, Albrighton, +Lihaj/Stevens

I'd like to see us utilise Benteke's ariel ability and play on Ferdinand with big long diagonal balls from the full backs, Bent feeds off his flicks and will hopefully play up close to Benteke. When we can - play through Ireland, his runs and ability to play between the lines of their midfield and defence and pick out Bent's runs.

I like the idea, but I fear that Redknapp's gonna have QPR going gung-ho at us, and that team might leave us overrun at the back and in midfield. I would love to see how Bent and Benteke would work together if given a lengthy amount of time to form a partnership though.

You could well be right, but if they score 2, with Bent and Benteke I think we could get 3. I think Bent will be chomping at the bit to prove Lambert wrong for leaving him out and it could work in our favour.

Don't know why we're so worried - results wise this is the poorest team in the league by far.
But personnel-wise they're not.

I reckon Granero, Cisse, Hoilett, M'Bia and Faurlin would all stroll into our first XI. If a manager comes along who can turn a mish-mash of decent players into a team then I reckon they'll have too much for us.

This is the team he played in the Sunderland game. It's not exactly impressive.

33 Julio Cesar (Green - 46' )
03 Traore
06 Hill
17 Nelsen
19 Bosingwa
02 Diakite Booked (Park Ji-sung - 65' )
10 Taarabt (Wright-Phillips - 77' )
14 Granero
40 M'bia
09 Cisse
12 Mackie

I have put a few quid on this and am expecting it to pay for my ticket. Odds of 3/4 on Villa or the draw

Nor was the team we played against Reading.

Of that starting eleven (not that all will be playing against us), there are still seven players that I'd have no problem having in our squad.

The biggest chance we have is to get Benteke on Nelson and Hill, who, with all the goodwill in the world, must be the worst pair of centre halves in the division. Their midfield is excellent I would agree, but if we can get at their back 4 I am pretty sure we will create 4-5 very decent chances tomorrow.

I have that feeling as well. Its gonna be tough on any of the front men to get dropped though, for Bowery or Bent. Honestly all three of them have run a gut out the past few games.

Hold your tempers if QPR score today whilst watching Skysports.
Various cries from the 'pundits' will be
'YESSSSSSSSS'
'GET IN THERE'
'BRILLIANT'
'ARRY IS BACK'
'STUFF IT UP 'EM'

I think ozzjim will be happier if we join in with that.

I think that is a fairly stupid statement. Besides, a good dose of justified misery at 5 this evening would make your day surely?

Joint 7th with number of clean sheets in the premier league about average as 5 teams have 4!! Wigan Spurs Southampton Reading QPR Fulham have conceded more goals than us and only 4 more than Man United! People are saying are defence is bad just because it's young it might not be the best but certainly not the worst and will improve over the season as we have already seen with players gaining experience!
