At the moment surely a £16M striker is more use to us than 3 or 4 more youngsters from lower leagues?

I'm not a huge fan of Bent but I can't see the thinking behind leaving him out of this one altogether, when  surely we'd expect to be creating some chances and suiting Bent's strengths.  And if Lambert leaves him out of this one, and carries on leaving him out, if and when he may be forced to bring him back into the fold (especially if on the back of a bad run of results) then it will seem like an act of desperation or an admission of a mistake on Lambert's part in having left Bent out for so long (and a serious error of judgment if Bent scores a goal or two when he's brought back in).

At the very least, we ain't going to get much for Bent in the January window if our manager doesn't consider him good enough to be playing in games like this one.

So, what's anyone eating during HT. Any Reggae Reggae sauce recipes?
I am thinking of eating my testicles, more fun than watching that.  Mind you it is an improvement on last year...

I am now devouring the Guide To Championship Grounds. Cracking little pub and easy parking near The Gal Pharm Stadium, pleasingly.

I heard there is a family friendly club in the championship, apparently they all have an extra toe on each foot.

It can't help that the crowd is so flat.

Bit of a chicken-egg situation, that.

boring football, boring players, dour manager. Getting up at 4am in to watch this is a sobering experience. Come on Villa, for fucks sake
Respect. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have bothered.

haha..I was hoping to see a bit more from Villa, to be fair. The thing that strikes me most regarding the Bent situation, is that he's gone from  starting the season as captain, to not playing at all. I think being stripped of the captaincy and then not starting(though I may well be wrong) in the next game after scoring against the Baggies pissed him off and he voiced his displeasure. Lambert, being a mini MON took it personally and it's snowballed from there..

Can you blame them? Look at what they have endured for the past two years.

For all the Bent talk though, our general play has been more on an issue than the lack of Bent.
