Completely unrelated but was watching a few videos of our team under BFR, they had such a great personality about it, loved being a fan in those days. VP has bever been the same since those days in my opinion

Just out of interest, why are we playing on Tuesday?  We have always traditonally (with a few exceptions) played our midweek games on Wednesdays.

It allows the Villa fans after enjoying a great home victory to give a big cheer when the stadium announcer reads out the score from Blackpool. Well that and the demands of TV.

3-1 Villa win. Gabby, Bannan and Holman.

The football we played in 92/93 is the best football I've ever seen at Villa. Fantastic attacking football with spectacular goal after spectacular goal. I'll always have a soft spot for Big Ron.

Big game this. Anything but a win and relegation becomes a reality.

I'm excited and nervous for tonight. We've had a real tough run of games recently and it hasn't been easy. I didn't expect a lot from United but we were unlucky and I was immensely proud. I was left hurting, and then City rolled around and I was left pissed off at shitty officials.. then Arsenal and it all looked good. We played well in all three games, but were obviously up against it and had quality players against us. This game feels different. We have a real massive chance of a morale boosting win. If we play like we did in the last three games we'll get three points tonight. Reading will be up for it and we have to be too.

Lichaj in for Vlaar (Lowton to centre half) & Ireland in for KEA would be my guess at the team but I've never predicted a Lambert team selection correctly yet.

Hopefully a place for Bent at least on the bench.

I agree with Lichaj for Vlaar but would go Holman for KEA and not Ireland.  Would also like to see Baker for Stevens to add some height to the back line.  Agree with Bent on the bench.

I'd be interested in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Westwood as the one, behind Cupboardy and Bannan, width from Gabby and Holman and Benteke up top.

We'll win 3 - 1 with it being uncomfortable at 2-1 for about half an hour and an 85th minute goal will kill it

They've sold 689 tickets. Anyone know how much we've sold?

I am very nervous tonight.
It reminds me of the match were we could not beat Norwich at home in another so called must win game.
Please God let me be wrong!

I bought my tickets yesterday afternoon, and it looked like there were at least 15,000 unsold then....
