1 point from 9, when 0 was expected so good in that respect.

How does KEA get in the starting lineup ahead of Ireland - this is one I cannot work out.

I haven't looked at the match thread, but who scored the disallowed goal?

That was a good free kick by Bannan, rolled it along the 18 ard box to Clark when everyone was expecting another floated cross. Ciaran didn't connect properly and it fell to Weimann who was offside.

Maybe Ireland is being kept for the Reading game, wheras KEA offered more battling qualities against the Arsenal midfield, that said I would have thought Holman would have been the choice if Ireland being given a rest. Lets not moan though, lots of hope for the season IMHO

Guzan - superb. Benteke - brilliant at times if a little "raw". Bannan - best I've seen him play. Great whole team performance but fully expected to see Ireland come on and disappointed he didn't. A good point today and could/should have got all three.
Must win game on Tuesday!

Think the players will take a lot of confidence from tonight, hopefully this is a turning point for us.

There was another good one in the first half that curled in beautifully and Concrete Ron couldn't quite get on the end of it.

A good solid performance which hopefully we can carry into, at the very least , the next three league games.

we have lost 2 on the bounce and we were fragile, lambert bolstered the midfield with kea. ok, so not the most creative of players but needed against a team that is full of quality. i expect to see ireland start on tuesday. really pleased with the performance. some will say after the match that it was 2 dropped but i feel we needed to go after at least a point today against an arsenal team that stuck 5 past spuds last week and won in montpellier midweek. in lambert i trust! anyone know what was wrong with vlaar?

Westwood not only kept cazorla very quiet but yet again had a pass success rate of over 90%

Why wasn't their goalkeeper booked for handball?

why wasnt jenkinson booked for persistent fouling, also arteta for bringing over gabby when he split their midfield. another ref not giving decisions on merit for either side
