We can beat Arsenal, we just need to get at them and defend well.

Camp Lawro says that the Arse 'will win, and win easily'.
How about pinning that on the dressing room wall ?
Cnt.

Two things we have struggled to do all season!!  I do fancy us to get a result from this game though and am leaning towards 1-1.

Well yes, but if we're going to get out of this mess we've got to start doing it.

Is that really "a result", Tom?!

I think it is inevitable that Lawrenson would predict a home defeat; after all, the trend data is pretty compelling!

However, this is definitely winnable: Arse do not have Manure's resilience nor Citeh's firepower. But in order for us towin the game, every Villa player involved is going to have to play pretty flawlessly for the 90 or so minutes, something we haven't seen this season.

Actually, we should put THAT on the dressing room wall!

I know I often do, but I have a good feeling about this game.  If we take a lead as we did against Man Utd I don't think Arsenal have it in them to come back at us.

How many were they down at Reading in the first half?  You do remember that one?

Do you remember us winning 2-4 away at Man City in the cup?  That had as much bearing on our subsequent league game there as that Reading game will have on tomorrow!

How many of that side will play tomorrow? You do remember their League Cup line-up?

I've never seen a prediction from ML that does anything but follow conventional wisdom. It is such a pointless and dull feature and could be written by a five year old, such is the insight and depth of knowledge.

The pragmatist in me would take a draw, the romantic idealist would like to see us, as underdogs, win. But with the latter being battered almost into submission by modern football it's increasingly difficult to get excited about the prospect of being grateful just to exist in a competition that we can't win.
