This really isn't funny is it ? What choice do we have but to get behind the team and hope we can turn it around. The easy thing is to have a go at Lerner etc. and it does worry me that his record with us seams similar to his NFL team who he has ditched.Ultimately we have to keep behind Lambert and not desert the team when they need us . The difference is these players do care and will be as gutted as us .
Now is the time to show real support.

What I cant get my head around is why anyone expected anything else when you have a owner who will sell anyone he can get a profit on and replace them with cheap, sub-standard dross from the lower leagues. And make no mistake, any gems we do pick up (Benteke for instance) will go the same way.

The problems at our club will not be solved until that moron of an owner is gone and I dont see that happening anytime soon.

He's the problem but the biggest problen is he doesn 't know it.

On what basis are you concluding he is a moron? If say he had another billion in his back pocket and put half of that into the club would he then be less of a moron? I assume the Man City owners are the least moronic in football at present, probably closely followed by Abramovic being almost totally non moronic. In your world it would seem the level to which an individual is judged a moron is in direct inverse proportion to ones bank balance.

At the end of the day these results and where we are hurt. Some fans look at the positive and others fear the worst. Personally modern football is killing my love of the sport but I will always love and support Villa. I just worry that we are heading the same way as Leeds and Sheffield Wed. Ultimately the owner and his team are to blame where we are with appalling decisions and a lack of footballing nous.

Yup. They seem to think pointing out the obvious inadequacies  of match officials is bringing the game in to more 'disrepute' than the the decisions themselves. That bloody linesman needs to be fined for bringing the game in to disrepute.

ultimately none of it really matters because its only football and i would hope none of us are ever going to stop supporting the club irrespective of this week's result or what division we are playing in. If it's Barnsley away this time next year so be it.

I believe Faulkner has already stated that Lerner selling The Browns would have no bearing on what would be invested in the Villa.

I think the big worry is that we will struggle to attract the quality of player we all agree is desperately needed even if serious funds are made available. Top players don't want to go to bottom teams.

If anyone does come in, I suspect it will be of similar quality to the bulk of the signings made in the summer.

We've had the hoary old 'Look at Newcastle how they bounced back after relegation' chestnut thrown in on here a few times.
Less so the examples of Leeds, Forest and Sheff Wed.
