And don't forget
'Buy low, sell high is the way to get us into the Champions League.'
I'm pretty certain that nobody has ever said that. Ever.

I think there's a lot of over the top reactions. We were in a game until a horrendous Linesman decision. This side is better than last years. We will stay up. Lambert has had just 12 league games to make changes. We will have a far better second half to the season. Suck it up and move on.

The first penalty was a weird decision. The linesman saw something that didn't happen.  If the second one happened at the other end i'd be yelling for a penalty. That one could go either way. The throwing in of the towel after that was shocking.

I said it's the way to move us up like Spurs did. However it does require speculating to accumulate as well.

Played some nice football at times PaulW.

Good cross and header from Benteke, a better touch from Gabby and hes through on goal.I didn't expect much more tbh.I expected them to have most of the ball, but until the 1st goal, i thought we coped ok.

I'm going to have a kebab tonight to cheer myself up.  Fuck it, I might have two.  I think it's a two-kebab result today.

Half lamb, half chicken.

There's two of your five a day, so guilt can fuck right off.

I know there are many pessimists on here so just think of all that money that SHOULD be available in January. I'm not suggesting anything except a lot of villa fans know Randy sold the Browns for a lot of money and it would be pretty hard for Randy to justify not spending if many believe we are as bad as they say.

The reality of today is we are going to get very very little away from Villa Park this season, Lambert has to look at being tactically aware away from home, the same team against Man U will not work at Man City, there full backs had so much room it was untrue and that was before the linesman decided to be a twat, Gabby and Andy are useful in that formation at home,as much use a s a chocolate fire guard away from home, but we really need to press the ball more away from home and definately push up from defending our own 18 yard line.
Concern for January is what type of player Lambo buys, because they have to hit the ground running and I don't think he looks at those sort of players, he looks at promise we need survivors.

What I cant get my head around is why anyone expected anything else when you have a owner who will sell anyone he can get a profit on and replace them with cheap, sub-standard dross from the lower leagues. And make no mistake, any gems we do pick up (Benteke for instance) will go the same way.

The problems at our club will not be solved until that moron of an owner is gone and I dont see that happening anytime soon.

He's the problem but the biggest problen is he doesn 't know it.

On what basis are you concluding he is a moron? If say he had another billion in his back pocket and put half of that into the club would he then be less of a moron? I assume the Man City owners are the least moronic in football at present, probably closely followed by Abramovic being almost totally non moronic. In your world it would seem the level to which an individual is judged a moron is in direct inverse proportion to ones bank balance.

We are deep in doo-doo which is so unfair considering we are improved on last year. We could end up with nothing from our tough run despite playing so well against United.

Faulkner said that the Browns sale would have no bearing on Aston Villa what so ever.
He might be a buffoon, but he's never come across as a liar.
