I hate those flukey c*ntbuckets.

Other than that, I can't really fault anyone in our starting 11.  They did not deserve to lose that.

It's not fluke though, they wanted to win more. They needed goals so they pushed forward. We only played on the offensive at 3-2. Before then we were counter attacking.

Don't get me wrong, we played pretty well I guess. We lead 2-0. But who cares if you still end up losing? We have lost far too many leads over the years that I (A) find it hard to sympathise for the team and (B) don't think anything will change because it ALWAYS happens.

Don't be so fucking stupid. It's almost an entirely different team. It " ALWAYS happens" because its Man Utd and they do it to most teams. If we'd played shit & lost I could understand criticism but we didn't. It was an exciting display - what we were all begging for last year - and undone by a mixture of individual mistakes and their good players.

With that performance against even slightly less skilful opposition, we'll be absolutely fine.

Please excuse my 'fucking stupidity'.

You don't understand my point. It's not just against Man United that this happens, it's a common trait with us. Yes I know it's a different team, different manager etc, but it's the same outcome.

Try understanding before sounding like a fucking oaf.

Both of you need to work on your debating skills.

Calm it down, please.

Nothing wrong with mine ta.

Vlaar, Westwood, Ireland, Weimann, Benteke and Gabby were excellent.

Played well mostly just lack of experaince in the end cost us.

With Wiemann scoring and Gabby and Tekkers performance I think Bent should be sold now.We can cope with out him and the cash to go to strengthen the midfield.

You have made several offensive comments in posts and silly statements in the last 20 minutes- how about a bit of pride for your team who fought hard and gave one of European elite a really tough game.

I disagree with him - very strongly - but I am not offended by his having a view. The awful 'O' word has no place in the discussion if you ask me.

That felt strangely similar to when we played them under Houllier. Similar goals too.

More like the FA cup tie when they brought on Van Nistelrooy at 2 down.

Really? Please feel free to quote me on those. I called Villa a bunch of 'losers' and 'bottlers' and I stand by that. I've also backed that up with why as we have a history of 'losing' game by 'bottling' under pressure. Don't let too much pride cloud your judgement.

Exactly. Feel free to disagree but don't be offended by a difference of opinion. That's what a discussion board is for surely?

Gutted, just gutted. Just knowing that they were going to come back and win is what hurts the most .That must be at least half a dozen times we have had a 2-0 lead and failed to win. I blame Webcam, as soon as he was took off they looked a different team.

Gabby was excellent???  Erm..... He gave the ball away so often that I thought he was playing for them at one point.  I have always backed Gabby but he was rubbish for the most part today.  Yes he did a couple of good things but I base a "performance" on the whole game and overall  he was not up to it today.  Benteke and Weimann, however, were very good.

Weird feeling after that, gutted obviously but a little proud and definitely a bit more optimistic for the future.

Well some may see us as losers and bottlers- I'm proud of our performance seeing our young our team was and we are moving in the right direction- plenty of positives !

Onwards and upwards, good evening all and try not to let this put a damper on your weekend.

Stockmix, I agree , offensive was too strong a word to use but I think you are being extremely harsh in calling us losers and bottlers- we gave it our best shot .

Like all on here we are just sick of the plucky loser tag that we get against them, it is thier favourite ground dont you know. I dont give a shit about how well we played, the idea that if we play like that every week we will be fine, we wont. No we reserve these sepecially interesting games for the Sky TV viewers and confirm every time that the decision they made (those sad glory hunting wankers that no fuck all about anything)to support Man Utd was the right one. I am fucking sick of it. Thats all.
