Well there's a shock. MOTD make it look like we robbed Sunderland. Funny, the match I watched we could and should have won by 2 or 3. And they mention the support of the Sunderland fans, also funny, at about the same time in the match they mentioned it the stream I was watching showed Sunderland fans leaving with 17 mins to go. No mention of the booing either.

And finally, it's not Pubey's fault, oh no, it's all down to the players. 3 wins in 23 is all the players fault.

Watched it on sky and have to say I was mightily impressed with Westwood, a lad who plays the easy pass and seems to be a leader to boot as you could see him telling people where to go

It's so that The viewers cannot have any doubt that it is the players and not Mart'n that is the problem with Sunderland. It will be the support soon. Mark my words! Season tickets will be thrown.

Oh and the way Hansen said we won "against the odds". Made it sound as if it was Bromsgrove vs Barcelona. Twunt.

Incredible editing there from the beeb.

Short of including Dr Who-style special effects, I'm not sure how more inaccurate they could have made it.

However they edited it, the statistics still told a story. Shots on target: Sunderland 1 Villa 6.

Martin this, Martin that. MOTD clearly can't be objective when they are all so chummy with him.

At times I feel like the worst kind of ex-smoker, getting all holier-than-thou and thinking "hell mend you, you should quit with the MON addiction" but then I think back to 09 Aug
...

There were many things to admire today,  including 3 much needed points. But it's good to see the club that he shagged so shamelessly give him one back.

And to sum up how shit MOTD can be, they spelt Clark wrong when they showed the bookings, they added an e.

Been tied up all day.  But what a result.  PL got it right today and we won.  So so sweet to rub PH's nose in it.  Gabby is villa.

Step forward little Barry, you were a giant of a man in midfield today.

Lets not get carried away. He was neat and tidy in possession, nothing more. His delivery from corners was terrible.

It wasn't terrible as a lot of them found Benteke, but I do wish we'd whip a few more in rather than just keep floating them in so as the attacking player doesn't have to generate all the power and the defenders don't have half an hour to work out where it's landing.

I agree. Considering how dangerous his crosses can be when he whips them in (see Clark vs. Newcastle) it's strange that, when he gets the chance to really get one right, he opts for that floating thing.
