I think with Ireland it's partly the lack of quality around him. There was a time in the first half where gabby should have made a decisive run and just did neither one option nor t'other

That's true, but nstead of doing the smart thing and keeping posession, Ireland just sort of....gave up and let them take the ball off him.

The problem is, Ireland is in the position we need someone to really provide the assists/ goals in this formation. As such, if he is not on it we struggle to create.

Replacing him would be close to the top of my wishlist. Not quite on top, but close.
