Playing ok and livley going forward but without looking too dangerous.  Westwood looks better than he did at Southampton. I like Lichaj as a player but he really is as bad as if not worse than Warnock for giving away needless free kicks in dangerous positions.  Two for pointless nudges in the back when the player was going nowhere.

On the plus side, I think Lowton is fantastic. The Sheffield fans who said he couldn't step up are proven wrong. He looks every bit the Premiership full back.

people seem to be omitting the fact that irelands clipped through ball in a 1-2 with benteke gave us our best opportunity to score.

Indeed. I think this midfield three has worked well.

Ireland is a strange one. I'm far from his biggest fan and he seems to give the ball away a fair bit and yet most of our better displays come when he's playing.

Yep, I like Lowton.  Looks determined, composed and skilful.  And he'll only get better.  Westwood has been impressive too.  I must say it's refreshing to watch a team basically made up of youngsters and newcomers, shorn of the likes of Dunne, Collins, Heskey et al.  Shame about Ireland though.

I'd be tempted to put Holman on for Ireland. Think that may swing things our way.

Ireland is a frustrating player, he had the skills but doesn't apply them.

Agreed. Holman presses better and gets into better positions off the ball.

Holman's engine would help Bannan & Westy too, so it'd be a bonus.
