Not much quality on the bench , but the first 11 look very interesting , I really get the feeling this will be a good afternoon to be a villa fan.

Well, he's done what everyone wanted. Clark, Bannan, Ireland, Weimann. Hope it works.

I know right, it's terrifying. Under MON and Eck we knew they'd never change it around enough to do what we wanted. Lambert has, so if it doesn't work we can't really complain. Which is a scary thought.

An awful lot of chopping and changing again. How is consistency meant to be achieved? Makes you wonder why he picked Albrighton, Delph and Holman last week, when it should have been Weimann, Bannan and Ireland.

I'm sure we can find a way.

Reports that Bent hasn't travelled to Sunderland on TalkSport

Foot injury .
Was that due to foot in mouth?

The lightweight nature of our midfield is a bit of a worry.
A brave team selection by PL.
Come on you lions.

I can't criticise this selection - I think he has got it bang on .

After our major complaint for 6 seasons has been the inability to rotate players I'm not suprised to have seen a comment like this, just amazed it's taken this many games.  Clear case of not being able to please all the people all the time.

Nice to see a midfield designed to keep the ball, the right decision against a mon side for me.
