Lichaj is a car crash full back

Really?

All our fullbacks are like that this season.

Really hope Holman doesnt start. On the evidence thus far I think he is thoroughly useless.

Holmans a funny one. Lots of energy and his willingness to run into space is a novelty in our team, it makes space for other players and makes things happen. I've not been too convinced about his actual ability though, like he has the brain but his feet let him down. One day we will need better but I think the positives he brings mean we need him at the moment.

Very harsh I think.

Holman does a lot of the donkey work in midfield. It would probably be more appreciated by us if the rest of the MF could take advantage of it more. He's also got some ability on the ball, take his pass to Weimann against Everton, not many of the other players would have made that pass.

Every good side needs a Holman type player.

Works harder than anyone else on the pitch, creates space and enables the 'creative' players to express themselves.

I really like his attitude and energy levels.

Every single Villa player is now the subject of controversy over whether they are decent or shit.

I was thinking last night how did teams use to sit and frustrate us at VP under M'ON,push the full backs on to stop the wingers, and play through the midfield where eventually we were over run. So as M'ON hasn't changed, and as were under strength,id go for:

                    Guzan
Lowton     Vlaar     Clark    Lichaj
          Westwood   Delph
 Holman        Ireland       Gab
                   Benteke

Delph and Westwood?  Christ on a bike, O'Neill would be rubbing his hands.

I know, but i cant think of too many other options, maybe Herd if he's fit,but my main point is about over running their two in the centre of midfield with our two,and Ireland dropping in. I'd be disappointed if we go 4 4 2 and try and match them,id rather we try and play through them and over run them in the middle.
