I had to go out to unblock the drain when we were 2-0 up. Came in just in time to hear the third go in so thought 3-0 it is. Can't believe I missed the excitement!

I was fearing the worst before this game so I'm happy with the victory and pleased for Benteke.

Let's hope it gives us a boost for saturday and we can continue our unbeaten run!

People who said they hope they were wrong about Benteke. Step forward and admit your jibes were premature and negative. You know who you are. Lambert can jusify his strikers choices. (both scored) KEA suspended for Sunderland match. Hope Baker or Clark are ok for Sat. Also Lichaj to stay at LB .......

I hope Di Canio goes to bed and relives the match in his sleep.

At 2-2 he starts to see Madge getting her kit off - then at the last minute she gets up and walks out to be replaced by Nora Batty!

It could be a Madonna to Maradona moment

KEA suspended for Sunderland match.

Shit, I wasn't unaware of this. I'd probably got for Delph and Herd (assuming his injury tonight isn't anything serious) holding behind Ireland/Bannan with Benteke on his own if that's the case.

Probably more to do with the site going down for a while.

maybe most who would have posted have retired to a dark room with a cold compress on their forehead.

When they pulled it back to 2-1 I muted the radio, exasperated. I tuned back in at the end to hear 2-2 quickly followed by Benteke.

Well played Benteke. He's suddenly starting to look like the most likely of the summer recruits. Looks like the ideal striker to play 4-5-1/4-3-3 to.

I couldn't get on for about half an hour. It's also difficult to comment if you haven't seen a single kick

The time it was down included the winner and the half an hour or so after the game. Which is when everyone who had been on the match thread would have posted.

just back, happy with win, learned a few things tonight. Benteke can be a damn good signing for us, enda stevens will not cut it as a premiership player.
lambert will have learned a few things also about tight formations and playing priviledged players in free roles, my view for 2 sublime bits of skill setting up 2 goals were cancelled out by a 2nd half of anonimity! tough decision

Nice to benefit from a late winner for a change.

It doesn't help that Benteke looks a bit like Heskey, and some of his misses have been Ivanhoe-esque too.

But that's 4 goals scored since he joined us at the end of August, all of them crucial goals.

He's 21, still a babby.  At the moment he's one of the few bright spots in an arse of a season.

Bradford at home next please.
