33% possession against a League 1 side is pretty poor but job done in spite of our best efforts to fcuk it up. Just imagine if we won this and then got relegated - sorry, stupid thought, no team does that. When's the draw for the quarter final?

H & V isn't working very well tonight. Took me about ten minutes to post my thoughts!

I did offer up a Swindon win for a Villa victory on Saturday. When Swindon equalised I thought karma was taking the piss.

Good result. Good for strikers to both score. Lets take this momentum into the league now. Good to be in the draw for QF's.

Think positive!

The defensive situation is a little worrying. Having to rejig the entire back four apart from Vlaar can't have helped much. Hope one of Herd, Baker or Clark is fit for Saturday.

Quote
Paul Lambert praised his side as "brilliant" for showing the courage to beat Swindon in the dying seconds of the Capital One Cup fourth round clash.

Lambert was pleased with what he saw as Villa raced into a two-goal lead at the County Ground at half-time.

But he admitted his team showed complacency to let the Robins storm back to 2-2.

However, the manager was relieved to see two-goal hero Christian Benteke smash home the winner with mere seconds to play.

He said: "We were really comfortable and then all of a sudden we became complacent for some reason and that gives the crowd a lift. I thought it was our doing because at two-nil we were doing ever so well.

"They get the goal and then they hit us again. Then the crowd go up another notch.

"But I thought the team were brilliant to get the result and finish the game off after Swindon gave it a go.

"It's never an easy place. I know that from experience - a smaller team taking on a big team. We had nothing to gain. I thought my team were excellent.

"I was very pleased with the goals too. I thought Gabby's goal was world-class and Christian's last one was fantastic. The first one was great too.

"It was great to get three goals when you bring this many fans - around 3,500 I believe all coming here on a Tuesday night. I am pretty sure they will be delighted with that. It was a terrific atmosphere."

'HTTP error 504' is all I've been able to see since we were 2-1 up.

Is the game over yet?

I took 17/2 on Arsenal getting a (90 minute) draw at 4- 1 down. I feel like I've just guaranteed us an away QF at the Emirates. Sorry.

And I only put £2 on which, if I take it in 50 pence-pieces, only just equates to more than 30 pieces of silver.

Website seems to have sorted itself out now. When's the draw for the quarter finals then? I'm praying for anyone at home so I can go.
