Why anyone would listen to a national station itching for an upset, as opposed to a local station with knowledge and coverage from our point of view is beyond me.

BBC WM won't work on the ipad, but 5live is? Broadcasting rights maybe?

Local stations cannot broadcast football outside of a 30 mile radius (or whatever the transmitter power is) so they can't do online. DAB is normally ok though.

Can you get a local station on DAB wherever you are?

On my first DAB radio, I used to be able to get all the BBC local stations, but they might have tightened up now.

Because WM is shit?

Thats as maybe but there is no alternative providing a Villa angle.

Even if you could get WM, it wouldn't be from a Villa angle.

If you can get it the commentary on WM is pretty good tonight - can actually visualize the game in your head - as opposed to R5 which I started with but was more a discussion about other games

I wonder if we can have Gabby hypnotized so as he thinks every game is in the League Cup.

You're right, he is a good media whore.
The BBC's decision to keep him as an "expert summariser" is laughable and can only be for his 'shock' value.

It's shite that so little of the League Cup is televised.  Two of our better performances and we have to wait a day to see some 2 minute highlights.

The Villa angle from WM is simply Paul Franks loudly whining at us to "Call in Villa fans! Is this good enough? Can Lambert sort it out? Does he have the experience? Has Lerner lost interest? Does he need to get his hand in his pocket? Villa fans - lets hear from you!" (but only miserable whining tw@ts need apply because you needn't think we're letting anyone with anything positive to say get on air, and if one accidentally gets through, we'll just ensure they don't get a word in edgeways)
