I've been meaning to bring up conceding from corners. We lost concentration for Fulham's because they made a sub just before they took it and Norwich took their's quickly on Saturday. Something we need to address and maybe to try ourselves.

It is getting tiresome having the same game-types pretty much every week. However, I disagree about Bent starting: someone who doesn't work has to be integral to the build-up play otherwise, and standing around waiting for chances to come your way isn't enough.

Dave, I'm not sure about the bit about O'Neill not getting any stick.  Have a look at this thread from a Mackems forum for example:

Boring, dull and uninspiring football

I think Dave was referring to the media: and he's right in that several EPL clubs have a mediocre record currently. But because we've been so abject over the last 24 months (or is it longer?!) and our owners seem not to fight back, we're getting the media negativity.

Whereas MON is an untouchable media-wise.

I agree with your concern about PL's tactics, Dave. Apart from what you say about bringing Bent on at that point, I found it strange to see Herd in central defence (why not Lowton?) and a good deal more puzzling that Albrighton wasn't taken off.

Can't argue with any of that Dave.  You're spot on when you say something needs to improve and soon because the club's direction seems more downward than ever at the moment.

Great article Dave. Sums the situation(s) up very well. Amazed we didn't take Albrighton and Delph off at half time. Both very poor throughout the game.

Spot on again Dave, cant see what Albrighton and Delph have done to get selected. Our high pressing, neat passing midfield against Swansea of Holman,EHA,Ireland and Bannan have hardly played since then.

We need to get these guys playing together again.  Bring back Weimann and Lichaj as well.

On the money there Mr. Woodhall.  Everyone could see bringing Bent on was daft, effectively reducing us to 9 men, except Lambert.  The two corners we have conceded from have both been by players breaking from the centre/edge of the box towards the near post side of the 6 yard box to nip in in front of our first defender.  Hopefully getting it wrong twice will be enough for them to learn.
