We really should be winning this, it will be tight and they'll be bang up for it, but we should have the quality to defeat them
Swindle 1 2 Villa

Please take this game seriously Lambert

Given
Hutton, Lowton, Vlaar, Stevens
Delph, Bannan
Carruthers, Ireland, Gabby
Bent

This is the ideal game to bring Hutton back as we are 1 or 2 injuries away from needing him.

Delph and Bannan anchoring will hopefully mean one of them passing in a forward direction.

Ireland behind Bent with Gabby and Carruthers wide would hopefully say 'attack'

Hutton out, Herd in. Stephens out and Warnock in - we may need him soon.
He won't start Bent

I'd rest KEA and Holman

Guzan
Lowton, Herd, Vlaar, Lichaj (if Herd isn't fit, Lichaj to the right, Lowton inside and Stevens in LB)
Bannan, Westwood
Albrighton, Ireland, Weimann
Benteke

As with others I'd have carruthers on the bench and replace Albrighton at half time if he's looking as ineffective as he did on saturday.  Benteke starting up front because I don't like Bent on his own, Gabby can't score and I want Weimann doing the job Holman has been doing so far.  I'd start Westwood because he needs to get some understandingwith the rest of the team, grouped with Ireland and Bannan as they're all tidy in possession and should allow us to hold on to possession far better than we have in the last few games.

Westwood is cup tied, but I'd play him at Sunderland.

I fear that if they score early on, we'll struggle as we don't seem to have anyone who can stick the ball in the net with any regularity and don't creat many chances anyway.

Di Canio will have them fired up and they'll think they can win after our Saturday performance.

Never the less, I'm hoping we'll scrape home 2-1.

I hereby declare to the football gods that Swindon can win this as long as Villa start picking up wins in the league.

Therefore, 3-1 to Di Canio's lot, Ireland scoring for us.

damn, forgot about that... Delph instead then I guess.  Really want KEA and Holman to have a rest, we need them full of energy for the league games.

Swindon will never have a better chance to progress and cover themselves in glory.
I think the racist will have them totally fired up and they will beat a nervy and ineffective Villa.

2- 0 Swindon
