Ah that makes sense. I'm not sure what Lambert is doing with Bent it seems very strange. I'm happy enough to see Benteke start, but it should be with Bent.

Why no Lichaj? Does PL just pick names from a hat game by game or does he actually have a plan? Bent, Bannan and Ireland, in particular, must wonder about the thought process.

Midfield looks lacking in spark and with a midfielder at right back and right back at centre half it's a worry.

It does seem that he sees Benteke and Gabby as the future. If he does go then that cash needs to be reinvested almost immediately. Mind you, Bent did next to fuck all at Fulham last week. I trust Lambert so I really hope he's playing this one right.
