Lowton to centre half. Shot blazed over from the ginger Pirlo. Strange.

Baker will do well to run that injury off. Looked like he went over on his ankle badly. Will be interesting to see who goes centre half, Lowton probably. Thought Baker was very ropey early on but improved in the second half. Bennett with a bad mistake there again. Some of our defensive clearances have been terrible and would be fatal against a better side. Looking forward to seeing Lichaj at right back.

Benteke will surely come in and Nzogbia too I would think. Bent has hardly had a kick today and Holman for all his effort has no quality on the ball

At least we are in it, looking fairly solid and in with a decent chance here.

Thank you.
For finally posting something you agree with?

No, just something positive to cling on to.

we've been left with a serious lack of quality over the last three years by mr Lerner

Oh please. Try putting the blame where it belongs - with overspending managers who buy poor quality and pay them too much!

The buck stops with the owner.

And we'd all be really happy if RL chose who to buy and sell. What kind od manager do you think we'd have then? Get real!

We've an owner who didn't have a clue for the first four years, and since then we've been paying for his mistakes.  The match thread probably isn't the place for this discussion though.

if Randy Lerner had no input on transfer fees and salaries over his early tenure as you suggest then he is just as culpable, he should have done
