A random Spurs fan's opinion from the Glory Glory Spurs forum:

"I honestly think we'll fucking smash these. They are Blues and have pretty much been outclassed every game this season. Saying that though, that makes me believe it will be a struggle and either be a score draw or we'll just scrape all 3 points.

Would be typical spurs though after beating Man Utd at Old Trafford, we'd go ahead and drop points at home to Aston fucking Villa."

"Outclassed every game this season"?  What kind of press do we get in that there London?

EDIT - Nice touch with the swear word filter!
What does he mean by 'They are Blues...'?

Be interesting to see if lambert reverts to 1 up top and adds an extra midfielder in there. If we can keep a clean sheet first half and then play on the break I think this may be our best approach. Having said that you could argue we should just go at them from the off.

I would go with Gabby, Bent and Benteke tomorrow....

..............................Guzan.......................................
..Lihaj.........Vlaar...............Clark.....Bennett.............
...................El Ahmadi.....Delph...............................
..Agbonlahor....................................Holman............
...................Bent...... Benteke.................................

Drop Lowton?  Seems harsh, I think he has established himself as a far more gifted player than Lichaj and would seem an automatic first choice for me.   I'd be suprised to see Bent, Benteke and Agbonlahor all start as it would diminish our options from the bench.  I think the only changes will be Bent for Agbonlahor and N'Zogbia for Albi.

For me he should go with 2 up front, and go for the win. Aside from beating Man Utd last week a few of my Spurs supporting mates reckon they have really struggled so far and are more than beatable today.

Attack is the best form of defence - spurs are good going forward but susceptible to conceding goals.

Personally I would go

..................................Guzan.......................................
...Lowton.........Vlaar...............Clark.....Bennett.............
...................El Ahmadi.....Delph...............................
..Albrighton............................Holman............
...............................................................Gabby
.......................Bent......................................

I think Holman could tuck in and add a bit of graft to our central midfield allowing Gabby to use his pace down the channels with Bent as our out and out striker. Albrighton played very well last week so he should start.

We'd have a strong bench with Benteke, Bannan, N'Zogbia to come on if it wasn't working out.

My Aussie brother-in-law was over a few weeks back and wanted to take in a game, so we went to Spurs v Norwich. Norwich passed them off the park and the crowd were on their back from the first minute. It was only the arrival of Dembele at half-time that changed things and even then Norwich could have won it.

Keep Dembele quiet, pass through midfield and take our chances. We can do this, and I'll be in the upper tier to see it.

Keeping Bale and Lennon quiet is important so it might be an idea to play with two wide men ourselves to push them back and have them do a bit more defending than normal. We don't want Lowton having too much of a torrid time against Bale.

Dembele is injured I think.

Despite their league position, Spurs aren't playing that well, they're still all fart, no shit. Show the same kind of effort and bravery as we did against Man City and we can pick something up.

I'd be happy with a goal or 2 and a draw with the steady progress continuing.

Anything against the arrogant, deluded and so f***ing detestable spurs fans is always worth it. Just because you play in London doesn't make you "big 4" just neighbours with Fulham, QPR and West Ham.

I'd be inclined to start NZogbia today. Might be his sort of game and he looked sharp last week when he came on against WBA. I think we may need to get behind their full backs to create chances and Zog can do that.
