If your looking at getting in early, its 15 quid single from moor street to marleybone at 8 15, gets there at 10 20 am. Think thats dead cheap.

Think we'll be heading to the eight bells around the corner from Putney Bridge. It's been great there the last few years. Then it's about a 10-15 minute walk across the park to the ground.

Not anymore it isn't. Seriously - it's very inconsistent and has mixed reviews.

I would recommend it very highly.

Agreed. This is the place for the pre-match atmosphere

The Eight Bells is definitely the place to be, plenty of room for everyone and a select clientele.

I've heard even Alistair MacLean was known to frequent this pub on his visits to London, until his health took a Toll on him!

Take it you will be going to the Bricklayers Arms then?

Couldn't agree more, I have always headed straight for this pub on our various trips to Fulham. Great atmosphere in and outside the pub...

Coming from the south into Victoria and using the District Line to Putney Bridge, I should be ok I think...but thanks for the heads up on this all the same
Alternatively, Richard, coming from our neck of the woods you could change at Clapham Jct and then get the train to Putney (1 stop, 5 mins), then a bus to Putney Bridge tube stn

Ha, Frank, knew you would suggest that, thank you very much! I quite like doing the into London and out on the tube though for some reason. I shall park myself in the pub opposite the ground there on the other side of the river if you are planning on visiting it as part of your pre-match regime!!!

Seems like a big Sussex Villains attendance on Saturday then. Surely Putney overground then walk its not that far!!
I will have two little ones in tow but will find a pub with an outside area as long as the weathers ok. What's the one you refer to called - Duke's head?
