I'm a bit on an idiot, from Euston does this affect me? If so, whats the way around it?

Not really but it'll add about 15 minutes on from Marylebone.

I'm sure someone will have a quicker way but from Euston take the Northern Line south to Waterloo and get the overground to Wimbledon, from there you can get the District line 4 stops to Putney Bridge.

or...

Euston to Leicester Square to Earls Court then 4 stops down to Putney Bridge

I'll be going from St Pancras (which is only 5 minutes walk/tube from Euston).  I'll be getting the Picadilly line to Earl's Court then changing to the District line to Putney Bridge.  I've done this route a couple of times and it's fairly easy.  38 minutes according to the planner thing on the TFL site.

Alternatively, Richard, coming from our neck of the woods you could change at Clapham Jct and then get the train to Putney (1 stop, 5 mins), then a bus to Putney Bridge tube stn

From Euston, 10 minute walk to Warren St then 14 bus straight to Putney Bridge.
Far less mither than the Tube.

Ha, Frank, knew you would suggest that, thank you very much! I quite like doing the into London and out on the tube though for some reason. I shall park myself in the pub opposite the ground there on the other side of the river if you are planning on visiting it as part of your pre-match regime!!!

Splendid! Looking forward to seeing you again. I've missed the other two London games through work
