I hope Holteender in the sky hasn't done anything stupid.

Apart from post on the match-thread of course.

I noticed he disappeared from the match thread when things started to go right.

For once I waited for the inevitable and it didn't happen. Splendid.  A great response to the weekend's under-performance.

Those who were saying it will be an up and down season seem to have a point.

I didnt disappear at all.  If that were true then why would I be posting now???? And why not just celebrate the win instead of singling out Villa fans for fearing the worst.  Go and pick up your winnings for clearly backing us with thousands at 8/1.

Would it be too much if you, just for one night, gave it a rest?

seems like Gabby had a great game and Albrighton to,
causing a few selection headaches for Lambert

I like these types of selection headaches!

I think it's safe to say Gabby is up for it .
His first goal was superb.

Good one to with Benteke took most of the defenders out in one move, then a cool slot past the keeper.

He barged through two defenders to get to the return ball. He was like a bull.
Brilliant to see.

Tonight's what being a football fan (particularly a Villa fan) is all about.  Exactly what we needed after Saturday's performance and great to see players who haven't featured much staking their claim.  Went old school tonight and listened to the game on the radio and the overriding impression I got was that Gabby caused major problems with his pace.

Those stripey feckers will be a bit shocked by this result and be shitting themselves for Sunday.
Me for one cannot wait to play Smethwick. Full house, most on our side and three more points, thank you very much Smethwick, now feck of back to the Blose and the Dogheads.

Anyone know if Bennett went off injured or just knackered? Sounded like he had a great full debut.

Great. This is how football should be. Villa going any where, not fearing the opposition, giving them as good as we get and ending  up winning is a bonus. Pride  comes first winning comes second.
