Excellent :)

I been to work, then football as I arrived at Villa Park at 2.52pm and is delighted with the view as it is almost half way and in middle of trinty road lower. The game was a joy to watch and the team is completely different Villa I am used to. I love the new striker Benteke as he is very powerful. I think he will be our Dider Drogba eventually :) If Agbonlahor need a role model to follow watch him carefully. Think we will have a very very dangerous front pair in Bent and Benteke (The commentators will have nightmares :) )

I like the new Spanish Midfielder No 9 for Swansea. He impressed me.

I think we need to find a new Ashley Young/James Milner for winger role. As Charles is not suitable.

Did you get your ticket off Viagogo? I sold mine as I couldn't make the match and thats where I sit.

Even taking away Matt Lowton's goal I thought he was excellent today and I really like the look of him. In the matter of a couple of months Lambert has changed us completely. He's got us playing entertaining football, with hard working, enthusiastic players. His signings have all contributed to the way we play. The existing players - they actually look like they've been coached. Coached to play Lambert's style of football.
We're not there yet of course, but excited to to think that Lambert has a hell of a lot of time to make these players better. If he's given say £10m to spend in January I'm confident that it will be well spent money and certainly not wasted. I also think N'Zogbia has probably half a dozen games to save his Villa career.

Today was such blessed relief! I was buzzing when I walked out of VP: we played really well; we won; we beat a team that is not a pushover-side; we did so in style; we found some new heroes today ("Ooh - Ahh, Ronnie Vlaar").

I thought Holman was immense today. The back 5 looked the real deal. Bent worked harder to win the ball than I can remember. And Bannan is beginning to look a comfortable EPL player.

Lambert's got the momentum going in this squad, and I'm delighted.

On friday i got 5 to 1 for Villa to finish in the top 10, so i'm quite optimistic.

Great day, great effort, quite a lot of skill.I liked the fact that, for me KEA and Ireland had "off" days, and yet we still deserved to win.Solid at the back, FBs defending well, midfield working hard, and kept going.I never felt worried today.

Benteke, as one bloke by me said " He's a big fooker".Really pleasantly surprised by how good he was on the floor. He missed an absolute open goal, but looked a really good player.

Have to say, was very impressed by Michu today, he looks a really good player.

Great win and atmosphere today.

Just shows how bad it was last season ..............thank God that chapter is over !

If we keep that energy and desire all over the pitch then we will be more than alright this season.

Very happy tonight - UTV

I would love to see the Swansea thread from last season. Off the back of the Chelsea result with a chance to kick on... similar circumstance and meekly lost 2-0 without a shot on target.

Can't fault anyone today, we finished the stronger and the introduction of Benteke frightened Swansea -just great to watch us deservedly win a game and leave happy!

I think ours is the only game that doesn't feature on Sky Sports website front page.

Fuck 'em I don't give a shit.  We're on the move and the only people that matter is us.  We're aware and we care, they can kiss my big hairy arsehole for all I care.

Fuckin' right pal!

Wasn't there today, as I got married yesterday and am flying to Majorca at six in the morning, but thank you Villa for your contribution to a perfect weekend.

Nobody's touched on this refreshing fact yet but rather than bring on a defensive player to pack the midfield and defend our 1-0 lead for the last 10 minutes, Lambert brought on N'Zogbia to continue his attacking philosophy right to the death.

It was a great days entertainment, with both teams playing the game in the right way and trying to win the game and the best Villa team performance I've seen for years. The transformation from the Everton performance was dramatic. Every player played his part but if I had to pick out one player, Holman displayed incredible stamina and desire throughout.
It was great to leave Villa Park in an enthusiastic mood again. I'd almost forgotten what it felt like.

Don't think there should be any negativity on here today so go aways Ireland/Bent knockers. What I love the most is the way we are pressuring the opposition again, couldn't bear it the way we stood off last season and watched the opposition take the mick.
