Put on a proper performance and the Villa crowd respond, great to see a buzz back at the Villa for the first time in years

Missed the first half because I was at the hospital with the other half.  She goes in tomorrow to have Risso #3.

Best of luck mate.

Good timing.  Middle name Benteke?

Have to say Lowton looks a future captain to me, great engine, scored a goal, solid at the back, cool, calm and collected. Our squad suddenly looks bloody decent

17 shots, 13 on target apparently, it's suddenly great fun watching us even though we're still very much a work in progress

Great win. We have a manager who has the players organised and working hard for each other and fighting to keep their places, something we haven't had for a while.

Up the Villa

Unlike a few in L6 - I wasn't going to press the panic button after a stuttering start to the campaign

Yesterday there was a positive feel around Villa Park - on and off the pitch and the lads in claret & blue
delivered.

Putting aside Swansea aren't going to finish top6 up until they came up against us they were unbeaten
and playing extremely well. Brad pulled off a couple of good saves in the first 45 but was rarely called into
action after the break. How pleasing it was to see our lads pressing the opposition all over the park - never
mind Lions were were like a pack of wolves forcing them into errors.

Vlaar as captain - great move and Ronnie is going to be a favourite number 5 if he continues to play this way.

The only minor criticism would be Ireland & Bent but the latter came alive with the introduction of Benteke who
could be a cult hero in the making .............

I don't want to get carried away with optimism but the signs are promising and the fans have an important part
to play in the coming weeks and months as Paul Lambert endeavours to improve our status in the Premier and I for
one am eagerly looking forward to the journey-
