And rightly so. Wonder if Bent has relinquished that to Lambert or it has been taken from him, but Vlaar is the clear leader of the group. Maybe a focus on your game and not the team thing for Bent.

Good to play the same side too, it was the right thing to do. Now just perform. And what a strong bench for once!

Gutted for Nathan Baker not even on the bench through he played really well in the Cup.

Interesting. Just work them in, seems fair. If they didn't know it already, nobody is guaranteed a starting spot: everyone will have to work for their place.

(C)oncrete Ron has arrived. The rightful captain of the side. Bent is a leader in many ways, but this is best for the team.

Agreed. This might take a little pressure away from Bent as well, whereas Bigger Ron appears to relish responsibility.

Is Baker injured?

Good idea to retain the same starting line-up. Not entirely convinced by the bench though.

Cap'n Concrete. Good switch.

Not sure about Bent being a leader in (m)any ways. Concrete Ron or Al Ahmadi skippering the team feels right.

So, who is missing from the 18? Dunne/Baker/Warnock/Hutton/Albrighton/Delph/Herd...missing a couple of more midfielders I'm sure. Surprised Bowery Ballroom is already in the squad.

Agree about the bench. Let's hope a centre back doesn't get injured!

Also would have thought weimann might have lost out. Good to have competition though
