Excellent... First time in ages I felt proud watching a Villa performance.  Now we know what this team can do, and I'm sure they will build on that.

Very good performance from a lot of players. We are on the way. I enjoyed that!

Thank fuck for that.  I can't even watch or listen to the game but that was still a stressful experience following on here and on the bbc.  Great point.

Believe we can have a good season, especially with the players we have to bring in and the way we played in the first hour today was a great improvement.

Things looking up at B6

Firstly, Lee Probert is a shocking ref, not every foul is a yellow card you prick! Secondly, theres a Villa team that for a long time has a game plan about what to do. Think Benteke will give us a nice addition of power and height and Brad in goals looks like my first choice for me.

Well done Villa, well done Lambert....this could be fun.

Shame we couldn't get all 3 points, but I'd have taken a point beforehand.

And it sounds as though we can actually be competitive.

I think that was as good an away performance as we produced in the top 6 MON days. We were combative, dangerous and though we did hang on a bit, we did it pretty well.

That wasn't the performance of a bottom-3 team

Not sure what's going on with us at the minute; so disjointed and not our normal selves. Cabaye in particular looks a shadow of last season. Switching back to 4-4-2 doesn't seem to be working, we should stick with 4-3-3.

Good point at the end of a day we could well have come away with nothing, saved by the wonder that is Hatem Ben Arfa.

I though the ref was great today watching the game.
