We look much better with N'Zogbia not in the team. Lowton is playing well as well.

I don't know why, but I detest Alan Pardew.

Amen to that.

Sky wankers

The bloke reporting on the game looks gutted we're in front. Especially as he's told the audience it has all been Newcastle

He's not alone. The bloke commentating on the game is the same. And his co-commentator.

I've got a Norwegian commentator. Breath of fresh air.

Lovely start. Definitely been better than them.

Bannan looks tasty but Holman a tad shite.

This. Can't really explain why though.

I don't see how anyone can say its been all newcastle. That's bollocks. I'm still nervous and unsure about out defence. But the tactics are working well. Lots of group pressure on the ball. Some good passing though we still lack quality a bit in the last third.

Guzan's looking commanding. Given's always been a quiet keeper too, and I'm liking the fact that Guzan is getting amongst his defenders, and getting them organised. They always know where he is. It looks like Guzan really wants to keep his spot now. He's finally got a manager who'll actually pick him on merit.

Loving the workrate from all involved too. Particularly Ireland and Bannan who haven't always worked hard enough in defence. They're both putting in a good shift.

I think it's the unfounded arrogance.  But it could be other things too.

this. It amazed me when he publicly ruled himself out of the vacant England managers position. Like he was ever considered.
