Bennett was excellent.
I, for one, have never slagged him off. You can see that there's a player in there, he just needed time to adjust.

I like him. He's got a lot going for him going forward, and while he's shaky defensively he is having the occasional very solid game. He's got alot of work to do, hopefully a full pre-season and less injuries/suspensions and he'll add some consistency. Probably needs to bulk up a bit too.

Played very well yesterday - his overall contirbution was good and his positioning / covering was better.
He's clearly still developing, and learning on the job in the P'ship is a tough call.

I expect him to be a significant player next season.

He's had to play every game which has'nt helped. He's had his nightmarish games, Bradford away being the main one that springs to mind but overall he's been ok.

Big factor too for me, I like the guy and want him to do well. You feel yourself rooting for him

I honestly think that had he scored in either of our last two home games, we'd be blowing the transfer kitty on a new roof.

Bennett has apparently deleted his twitter due to abuse from fans. Just want to say, if any of those fans read this, fuck off and delete your own twitter.

Agree, Bennett has really improved since he got fit and had a run in the team and he'll continue to do so. 80-90% of Twitter appears to be a forum for absolute morons, who are cowards and have no morals at all.

He's the youngest of Lambert's Lambs, so we need to give him perhaps even more time than the others. That said, he's had some real brain-attacks this season.

Bennett tends to do mistakes occasionally which some has cost goals but he also does some great interceptions or tackles like saved us from almost certain goal against Wigan but also let them score their first goal.

I can see decent or good player in him if he learns from the mistakes and progresses as player.

The internet forum that the club run also gets visited and 'contributed' to by quite a lot of absolute plebs. If they failed to communicate they would get slagged off. When they open a line of communication, they also get abuse.

I have got plenty of time for Joe Bennett and expect him to come good over the next couple of seasons.

In terms of age he's not, he's 23. However I do think he'll come good, he has talent.

Bloody hell, so he is. I had it in my head from somewhere that he was about 20. Probably because he really looks young.

I thought he was 15 and still on a youth contract.
