Up until this morning I thought his name was Josh which shows what i know about the lad.Hopefully he'll be a success and is ready for Premier League football sooner rather than later.

How much was the actual transfer fee?

Supposedly around £2.75m.

Boro will receive £3m up front, with the fee rising in instalments for every 15 senior games he plays to a maximum of £4.25m. The Teessiders have also insisted on the inclusion of a sell-on clause.

Fair play to them adding a sell-on clause. We should think more carefully about that when we sell players - the one we had for Cahill was ridiculously small.

I don't know much about him but hasn't he got a refreshingly plain, no-nonsense name.
I expect he'll play in black boots and pop in the outdoor for a bottle of brown ale on the way home.

...and a packet of Woodbines.

Yes, proper names, black boots, no tattoos and traveling on public transport to the game along with supporters is the way forward.  Well, maybe the last one is a stretch too far but you know what I'm getting at.

Welcome on board Joe.

... back home, dinner on the table, give the wife a bit of a shoe-ing when she looks at him funny, then down the road to the pub, come back shitfaced, wake up in the outside bog, in a pool of piss.

I'm sure he was a character in "Last of the Summer Wine"!

Welcome Joe.

If he was he'd travel to the game by bath tub.
