If my father in law waxes lyrical about Coventry being 2 nil up against Bury once more, I might throw something at him!

that could be us one day

Lambert needs an MBE if he ever gets higher than 16th with this team. These players are embarrassing to watch, 40, 50 £60 thousand a week...you should be absolutely disgusted. Footballs easy boys, quickly move into space, pass it, SHOOT!!!!

N'Zogbia OFF Fonz OFF Ireland ON Weimann ON

Fixed.

Agree with that. Or maybe Delph actually, because we're just totally outnumbered in midfield.

We desperately need some new blood in. The gap between midfield and the forwards is massive so Bent is totally isolated. Bannan is way too deep.

We just have no quality at all im afraid and its going to be a long season. RL hand in his pocket time again I'm afraid.

Lambert must be aware these are not good enough players, he sees them in training and if they're like this, he must think he's made a bad move from Norwich

Karim El Ahmadi OFF Bannan OFF Ireland ON Weimann ON

How will that work? They've looked like our only two players capable of trapping a football.

Bannan has been woeful. Completely useless.

Indeed, almost as bad as playing with 10 men I'd say.  Same with Nzogbia.

Bannan has been the only one actually trying to make himself available for the ball. The lack of movement off it is shocking.

Agreed, Monty. I'm no fan of Bannan  but he's at least trying to get things moving.

We can all blame o neill, houllier and mcleish but the man who should be blamed most for this clubs sorry state is mr randy lerner.
He should just sell up to fucking anyone. He clearly doesn't give two shits. But oh hang on, we can all be proud that our wage bill is ok enough to compete in Europe!! The closest were going to get to Europe is a trip to Wales to play Cardiff next year

Trying to take a level headed approach to this. It was always going to take a while and we've been punished by some strong experienced players.

We haven't been able to play much of the football we saw in pre season. The intensity of the game has been a real shock to many of our players.

KEA is well behind the pace. Ideally we'd give him a chance to adjust, but we just don't have any players to fit in there. I actually think that fonz has done ok, without lpoking like he's necessarily going to be good enough.

Let's just try and get some pride back second half.

And then we desperately need at least one quality, proven central midfielder. I've said that for months. We also need a left back although baker has done ok.

Pretty depressing stuff. Hard to see us avoiding another shitty season really at the moment. why do we bother?

N'Zogbia is utterly clueless.

When he puts in the effort to get into a decent position, he just stops, he doesn't know what to do with the ball.

I said earlier somewhere that I am stunned he has made it this far as a footballer. Whoever that bloke was at Wigan is dead.

Monty, do you ever have anything bad to say about Bannan?! He's been as dire as the rest.

He's played very badly at times and isn't playing well, but I hardly think he's the worst out there.
