If we are in a relegation fight next April it will be Randy getting the abuse McLeish got at home v Bolton.

We're being filletted here. I think we are going to lose by more than two.

The thing is I don't think anybody thought things could get worse? First home game of the season and we're saying game over after forty minutes against a decent team.

I honestly think a large part of our problem is that too many of the players are just not very good. We're in denial about the quality of some of them.

Exactly.  Our much vaunted youth team hasn't produced anybody of real quality for years.  None of Bannan, Clark, Albrighton or Baker would get anyway near the Everton first team.

Given by Given.

Villa remind me of Finland. Playing ok but lapses of concentration in own end and no penetration in the other end brings destruction. So it looks as they're is playing ok with possession in easy areas etc but actually they're just shit.

Is it just me or is there a severe lack of wanting the ball and movement off the ball to get it in the midfield?

Agreed. It's soon time for a rude awakening.

There's a hole on the field in front of midfield, no one in the hole.

Well this is absolutely awful!! If this is what we have to go with till jan then we will actually go down this year.
This alone should spur serious incomings this week, if not then god help us

I can see us going down, seriously. There just aren't the players there.

I've not seen us this outplayed at home by a team outside the sky glamour sides for a while. We've barely had a kick

It really isn't very much of an exaggeration to say we've barely touched the ball.

Agreed.  Too many passengers and nowhere near the quality we need to be competitive in the premier league.

Can't believe it, im actually thinking Savage could be right. We need about 5 or 6 players, dunno about just 2 or 3.
