Apologies for bumping this back up.

What was that nice tune that was played before and after the game on Saturday? It was an acoustic type thing with whistling thrown in, it was quite pleasant in a pleasant kind of way.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. I liked it too. I think it had Villa lyrics but managed not to sound indescribably naff. Impressive!

I've heard it played a few times. The original is a proper song but I can't remember what it's called. Think it was used in advert a while back.

Is this your final answer? Sadly, it is impossible to youtube on the basis that you just get hundreds of Aston Villa - final whistle" videos - which to be fair is quite entertaining in it's own way, but no use for pinning down this song.

I thought it was a proper song but when i heard the words Villa in it, i thought it could'nt be. Sounds like a Travis type number.
