We're 1 up at half time against Sporting.  Donacien on 10 minutes.  The only coverage I've found so far is a couple of posts on Villa's official Facebook thing.

I saw that, Carruthers playing apparently.  Would be interested to hear how he's getting on.

I know Lambert wants all age groups playing the same formation at all age levels so did they all change to 4-2-3-1 when the seniors did?

GOAL - Sporting CP U19 0-2 Villa U19 (Michael Drennan, 47).

If we win this one I believe we're through, this was the table at the start:

Sporting P 5 GD 5  PTS 12
Villa    P 5 GD 0  PTS 7
PSV      P 5 GD -4 PTS 6
Celtic   P 5 GD -1 PTS 4

I can't comment on formations.  I've not seen enough of them but there's 1 or 2 on here that go regularly.  Hopefully one of them will be able to answer.

GOAL - Sporting CP U19 1-3 Villa U19 (Santos, 75).
GOAL - Sporting CP U19 1-4 Villa U19 (Graham Burke, 78).

It's a shame it's not covered anywhere it sounds like a good game.

For those not on Facebook although I'm sure there'll be something on the OS soon:

GOAL - Sporting CP U19 1-5 Villa U19 (Michael Drennan, 88).

Full-time: Sporting CP U19 1-5 Villa U19: Villa are through to the knockout stages of the NextGen Series for the second year running after a stunning performance in Lisbon. Two goals each for Michael Drennan and Graham Burke, along with a Janoi Donacien strike, ensured Villa qualify as the second-placed team in Group 4. They join the likes of Sporting, Barcelona, CSKA Moscow and Rosenborg in the last 16.

I doubt we'll know for a while.  There's still 8 games left to play including one on the 19th, details can be found here.

Manchester City, Celtic, Vfl Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund are all out.
