Sounds like Gabby might be back for the first game after the International break (Swansea?).

Any other club would enter the transfer market hastily and with real purpose now. Left back, striker, creative midfielder required within one week.

GaryGardner injury. A question for those of you who know about this stuff. How serious is this?
Full recovery?
Career limiting?
Career ending?

ACL injuries used to be career ending. Now, it's just a case of rehab. Best case scenario he's back for next April. It's a very tough injury to recover from and inreality it puts you back 12 months in terms of development.

Career ending 25-30 years ago maybe.
This is his second one in a few seasons so it's bound to take its toll.

Given he's now done both knees, he must lose some mobility in terms of playing at the top level. He's young but look at the affect it's had on Michael Essien over the last 2/3 years.

Gutted for Gary, had high hopes for this season. Hopefully he will make a full recovery.

He's young enough to recover but that's a bad injury to have had on both knees and rotten luck. Good luck to him with his recovery.

Terrible news for Gary. All the best to his recovery. We could do with an attacking driving midfielder to fill his boots more than ever now.

Gutted about the news on Gary Gardner. Just starting to break into the first team
And such an important time in his development. I really hope what looks to be a great talent doesn't get wasted through injury.

I hate to say this but I think this latest injury could effectively finish Gardner’s career.  I’m sure he’ll get 100% fit again but he’ll have missed 2 season through injury during a stage when he should be learning and improving the most.

So already with one game out our injury list reads:

Albrighton
Dunne
Gabby
Gardner

That's 3 or 4 in or around the first team. If you add Petrov that's a 3rd season of unbelievably bad injuries to crucial players. Which other club has has this much bad luck? Add self-inflicted absentees in Warnock and Hutton and that's virtually a team.

Yep, I've said it before, but I'm convinced no other team in the league has had the same misfortune that we have had over the last three years. We've got to be due some good luck soon for fucks sake.

Good news. Jermaine Jenas was back in action today. Maybe we'll take him back.

I noticed that El Ahmadi came hobbling off yesterday. I haven't heard anything else about his injury so hopefully he won't miss the swansea game.
