Feel really bad for him,as he had a big chance of making a name for himself this season. Here's for a speedy recovery Gary, all the best.

This is heartbreaking news. Our dreadful luck continues. That squad is looking really threadbare now....Randy needs to dip his hand into his pocket or we will struggle.

Knowing our injury luck some of us could end up being named on the bench this season.....

That is absolutely terrible for him, hopefully it won't be but at his stage of development it could stop him ever pushing on. We definitely need a central midfielder now as well.

Massive shame for him, but on a totally selfish level at least we have quite a few centre mids, if this had been a defender or Bent we'd be scuppered.

Wish you all the best Gary. You're still better than your brother.

You have to wonder for the lad. Both knees done like that and he's only just turned 20. Hope for the best for him but it's a worry.

This is so shit for him and our team. ACL injuries are really bad, he will be out for 8-9 months... It's such a shame this has happened.

That was my first thought too. He'd already missed a season a couple of years back and now this. I just hope he gets back to playing football. Poor lad must be devastated.

Give Gary his own thread back. It's the least he deserves.
Comes across as a good kid but he'll need a lot of encouragement, hopefully Delph can keep his spirits up having gone through similar.

So already with one game out our injury list reads:

Albrighton
Dunne
Gabby
Gardner

That's 3 or 4 in or around the first team. If you add Petrov that's a 3rd season of unbelievably bad injuries to crucial players. Which other club has has this much bad luck? Add self-inflicted absentees in Warnock and Hutton and that's virtually a team.
