One of my favourite games the Sunday before Xmas 1996. Savo Milosevic's finest performance?

I remember watching this in the pub as a ten year old. I found this a few days ago and meant to post it but you got there first!

I'd missed the 7-1 a couple of years earlier so this made up for it a bit. IIRC Wimbledon were no mugs at the time and were on a long unbeaten run. I also remember the Holte singing "Merry Christmas Vinnie Jones". Which I mentioned when I met him at a publisher do a few years later. Although I was more interested in Katie Puckrick who was also there and quite cute in real life.

Wasn't there also 3 goals disallowed? I remember having a piss and we scored twice only to find out they where not allowed IIRC

One of them (at least) would have stood if the match was played today.

This is one of those games which for some reason I have absolutely no recollection of. Like watching it for the first time.

Even with a few injuries, we had still had a good side out that day.  I used to really dislike Wimbledon, as they never brought any away fans and seemed to be a be a bogey team for us in the late 80's / early 90's.

It was this game where I was probably the most pissed I've ever been at a football match (and got in). Met a mate from the Army who had just flown over from Germany and we hit many pubs beforehand. I can't remember much except my mate throwing up over a stewards feet and somehow getting away with mumbling something about a dodgy pie.

Great day. Wimbledon were flying at the time and we blew them away. There were at least 2 goals disallowed.
