FAO Admin - Security issues.

You really should update your software version, you are about 6 versions out of date and some the versions later than the 1 you are using here have some considerable security issues that could leave your site open to be attacked by hackers and viruses.

I'm not scare mongering there are some genuine security issue's that have lead to quite a lot of sites being attacked. SMF version 2.0 RC4 had to have a security patch rushed out because sites were being attacked and in some cases versions later than the 1 used here had the admin locked out of their own site and the sites had to be completely deleted and started again.

Already have that setting done.

It's not so much inability to send pm's it's fact can't access profiles to get to be able to select to send a message. I'll try adding name directly into pm name field and see if that works.

You have to laugh at the irony of this thread. You're talking about security risks and hackers, yet you can't send a PM as you can't access profiles haha!

Hackers are twats anyway. All they are good at is destroying other peoples hard work. Twats i tell you.
