Nigel Sims book
« on: June 11, 2012, 01:21:52 PM »
Received my signed copy today, and I'm n.o 2 on the roll of honor after the author himself.
Hand delivered by the author Colin Abbott too.  ;D

Colin mentioned that he's been researching to write a book on the '57 FA cup winning team.
Another great book on the way then.

In Safe Hands
Thanks for that link Legion.
I'll have to go and meet the man in person.
I was actually named after Nigel (although I didn't arrive until '59) so he's always been a bit of a hero of mine.

Nigel is my great uncle, and to my Dad's eternal shame, he sold Nigel's FA Cup Winners medal for beer money.

Met some true legends today.
Nigel Sims
Jimmy MacEwan
Jackie Sewell
Jack Walker
Ron Wylie
Alan Deakin
Harry Burrows (and his lovely wife)
and Malcolm Finlayson.

There was a good turn out which was nice too.
Anyone else go?
