Goals you'll never get bored of seeing.

Here's one for me.

I used to love Mortimer, such an underrated player. Also, a truly great football beard man.

I've just sat and watched that goal four or five times in a row, and still got goosebumps every single time.

That is amongst my favourite all time Villa goals.

I was on the Holte that day and the ball seemed to take an age to go in.

That was the result that made me realise that we could actually win the league.

I was there for that and I was also in Goodison Park a few weeks later when he scored an almost identical goal in a 3-1 win, the match that saw Tony Morley score what turned out to be goal of the season.  I swear that the ball was still picking up speed when it hit the back of the net.

That through ball from Shaw is among the best you'll ever see. The weight on it is perfect, and the replay view just shows the space he gave Mortimer to run with. Taking nothing away from our Dennis (we've seen many a Villa striker bottle a one-on-one) but he even looks surprised to have that much room.

I will never ever tire of seeing the first half of this video.

The second half is unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

Seriously, why would you make a video that included both of those incidents?

I didnt, but it was the best footage of that goal I could find. Agree with your point though.

Three for the collection:

Dalian's will always be there. My favourite bit (aside from the brolly) is the way he stops just before chipping the ball over the keeper. It's as if he said to himself 'what can I do here that's going to top that run?'
