Losing Collins would be a mistake, and I don't understand the hatred for Dunne either.

Two reasons why Collins needs to be moved on.
His mistakes, losing his man at corners etc.. Usually costs us goals.
In my opinion he's a trouble maker & I'm sure his card will be marked.

I expect to see him being the first out the door.

There were about 80 or so as a sort of 'Welcome to VP' fan greeting as he arrived.
Well done all of you.
Blimey, didn't about 1000 turn up on impulse for MON ?
Wow times have changed

As already mentioned MON press conference was at 7pm on a normal week day. Went down today and we had the two worst pour downs of the day. Spoke to Jack woodward. He said there was definitely money to spend and players already identified by Lambert. ( which was said in conference) Collymore shot straight off when the rain came down and just waved bye !! Lambert seems very much his own man and love his comment. "Body moor training ground is fantastic". "But you can have the best training ground in the world but if you are not producing on a Saturday it means nothing" Positive .......

A Friday as well wasn't it so many people could finish early.

I will correct you on the downpours, we had a worse one at about 6pm but as I was inside for that......

Like I said, the only criticism I can give is the fact the club asked the fans down and then forgot about them. Someone could have come out and said he won't be back out for almost 3 hours or they could have done the photoshoot in a stand with fans around him or he could have done the initial press conference, then come back out to the fans whilst the pressers got themselves ready and then gone back in.

Collins is one who will never realise that there is more to defending than making loads of mistakes and then attempting the Big Block on the six yard line to make up for them. Maldini used to make one tackle every two games on average - defending is more about positioning and anticipation than tackling and blocking, and Collins has neither.

Collins and Dunne are like piss taking kids sat at the back of the classroom.

They need seperating, or the whole class will get distracted.

Out of the two, I'd keep Dunne every day of the week.

Wasn't it Collins who, whilst at West Ham, said he wasn't interested in football or something of that ilk. He sometimes looks like that when he plays.

If the choice was those two, then yes I would, unless Dunne comes back in a similar state to the 2010-11 start.

I think I would, too.

I also agree with your assessment of Collins.

I don't really want to compromise. I want them both gone and they can take Warnock and Hutton with them.

Carte blanche on who he wants rid off and who he wants to buy.  I trust him to do the business for Villa.  For those who think he's not exactly Mr Charisma and doesn't speak that well, how often have we said to do your talking on the pitch? Let's hope he's THAT type!

I think Dunne will stay. Lambert will need Given, Dunne and Bent, plus his own leader in midfield to give an experienced spine of players that can lead. In the last 3 weeks we saw that a half fit Dunne was vital, and has played well more times than badly for Villa.

Collins, if we got an offer of anything around 4 million quid, should be gone.

Frankly if anyone wants Collins at all I'd let him go for nothing. It's rubbish business, but he's been as bad off the field as on it, a poisonous influence at our club, and we need to get him out in whatever way we can.

I'd clear out the whole so called senior back 4.

Of them, the only one I'd think about keeping is Dunne, and I'm very open to him going as well.
