Wish he would smile and speak up a bit! No need to be so dour!

Did we even have a press conference when we appointed McDoom?
Yes,I remember it well. It's when he said we had a cracking squad of players and his goal was to finish above 9th

Yes.  Weren't Faulkner and Lerner notable by their absence as well?
Didn't McLeish want to do it by himself? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

'We have to play football the right way for this football club." I like that quote.

Happy with what he had to say, and I imagine he'll be more candid in one on one interviews. Was actually very encouraged with Faulkner. Clearly they have identified certain players to bring in, and for sure they will be ditching some of last years lot. My guess is they want a clean break from one or two players and make a completely fresh start. Certainly got the impression that they will be supporting the manager in his efforts to improve the squad which is exciting.

It'd be interesting to know what MON said to him. It sounds like he encouraged him to take the job, so begs the question, why did Martin leave?

As usual, he said the right things, big club this...great fans that...play football the "right way"...

Wasn't too much to write home about really.

However, looking forward to new signings and a new season with opitmism!

Doesn't dour and Scots naturally go in the same sentence? I don't really care for bubbly in front of the TV cameras. The great Sir Brian Little was the epitomy of dour when you look at hiom or hear him, but it's what is inside that counts. His record suggests he can motivate players and get results and that's all I care about.

The term I keep hearing from behind the scenes is "shake up".
