I will take the near 50% win ratio which he had at Norwich.

I want him to go into every match no matter who we are playing and where we are playing with the intent to win the game.
I want him to win at least 10 home games.
I want to not lose any home games.
And most of all I want him to treat the FA cup at the most important competition there is and win it ASAP.

Expectations are somewhat dependent on how much he can spend, and who he can move on.

Worst case of minimal budget and continued wage bill scrimping restricting freebies, then I would say 12-13th place would be about right and above would be an overachievement.

If he can bring in a ball winner, a central defender and new full backs then I think we could be challenging for a European spot 5-7th.

Either way I don't see us being troubled by relegation this season.

We have a good goalkeeper and centre forward already in the team and some good young players.  Add 2 or 3 to 1st team and I'd ask why we can't 'do a Newcastle' and finish top 6.  The quality outside of the usual suspects isn't all that daunting.

That said, after the last couple of dire seasons and the likely smallish transfer budget my expectation is probably more like 8th and a cup run and I'd be happy with that to begin with.  Like others have said, making us entertaining and competitive is the bottom line.  No surrender and a pride in the shirt from ever player in every game.

To look forward to going to the match again would be enough for me.

An important task is to replace the shitter than shit full backs.
I'll be more than delighted if I never have to see Mutton and the Diddy fuckwit in Villa shirts again.

I'd be happy if Mr Tickle kept Warnock as he played well enough at left-back and in midfield towards the end of the season. I think Leee-ha! should start at right back so, at full-back, we need one first choice left-back and a back-up right-back I reckon.

A successful season in my eyes would be one where the club has its pride back.

I want other clubs to play the Villa knowing they're going to get a tough game, not expecting us to roll over.

I want us to be known for playing football the way it's intended to be played, not the anti-football we were renowned for last year.

I want us to start to build the foundations where the youth have the support to come through whilst being stretched to make the most of themselves, not seemingly being held back.

And most of all I want to wake up on matchday feeling excited about the game, not wondering whether I'll see a goal or even a shot on target.

I genuinely think Lambert can achieve all of this over the next 12 months.

I want to see the young players continue their development and improve under Paul Lamberts management and coaching.
I want to see us have a go at teams and not sit back and make sure we don't get beat heavily.
I want to see rid of the likes of Dunne, Warnock, Hutton, and Collins.
I want to see players like Barry Bannan realise that if their off the field behaviour is unacceptable they won't be at the club any longer.
I want to see a culture of good football, played to entertain the fans.
I want to see players play in their correct position.
I want to see players join our club who see it as an enormous honour and not just for stupid wages.
I want to see players 'earning' a sensible (for football) salary and have regular contact with the fans - particularly the kids.
I want to see the players acknowledge the supporters at the end of every game, win, lose or draw - when I say that I don't just mean a quick clap from the half way line and then bugger off down the tunnel.
I want to see the players play without fear.
I want to see players walk off the pitch at the end of the game knowing they've given everything for the club whether we've won, lost or drawn.

I want the players to start enjoying their football again. It's amazing what confidence and belief will do.

What's great is that we have tangible excitement for the first time in a long time again. Now Randy back Lambert with some funds and we can be really positive going into the season.

Top 10 next season and then we will take it from there, delighted with this appointment and cannot wait for august to see the start of the lambert era.
