Can't get it on this iPad as no Flash Player on it. There are highlights of the great night on The Villenium.

Watched it a few nights ago and a tear came to my eye.
Best match I ever saw at VP and can remember it so well.
I was 17. The perfect age to be going absolutely fu**in' barmy throughout the game and especially at the end!

Best match I ever saw as well  and to be honest I enjoyed the final even more than being in Rotterdam. We took that match to Spurs for eighty minutes and fully deserved to win.

Chicooooooooooooooooooo!

I am there with you guys.
camped out on the saturday night along the Trinity for tickets.
By the time they started selling tickets the queue was 6 deep and stretched back around the Holte pub, kids were pushing in at the front, buying tickets and flogging them at the back to sheepskin wearing middle aged guys who did not want to be in a queue for hours.
The night of the game (I was 15) is the greatest memory I have of the Holte End, it roared the Villa to Victory after us going a goal behind.
I watched a You tube reccording of the final a couple of months ago, it brought tears to my eyes, nostalgia, with a Villa team wearing the correct colours playing great football.

I joined the queue much later. It was about 0730 on the Sunday morning. As you say, it was six deep. When I got there, the queue stretched from the Enclosure turnstiles (from where they sold the tickets), round the back of the Holte pub and down as far as the Aston Hotel. By the time we got into Trinity Road, the back of the queue was visible, probably in Nelson Rd or Jardine Rd.

From the sounds of it I must have been next to you in the queue.

My Dad and I were up the Witton End. It was before all the stupid violence appeared, I remember the Man U fans coming past with decent banter, the occasional tug on the scarf with " we're going to beat you tonight sonny" I was only 10, but remember it so well. Probably my favourite Villa game.

Thank you. Thank you.
I was 13 years old sitting in The Upper Trinity with my Dad and Mum, about 20 yards off the centre line towards the Witton and about 1/2 way back. Banging your feet on the wooden flooring, you knew it was special when most of the Upper Trinity were singing. You cannot tell on the footage just how loud the crowd was, trust me it was very loud that night. "Villa! Villa! Villa!".
The most magical hours I have ever spent watching the Villa, and I say that even having been at Highbury in 81 and Rotterdam in 82.

I really wish we could get loud these day, it would frighten half the teams to death.
Have to say, Brian Kidd's goal would have had some in raptures these days. unsure whether he meant to overun the ball and drag it through or it just got stuck in the mud, good bit of skill whatever.
I'd forgotten how many chances we had too, and there's me saying how well I remembered it  :)
