Surely the first of many. Just imagine how many European Cups and League titles Villa will win in, say, the next 30 years ?

Also, just throwing an idea out there, why not expand this competition to include maybe the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers in the league.
What, and maybe have a league type arrangement ?
You could, but any old crap could win it then, someone like bloody Chelsea or something.

I just can't bel live it. Since I started going down the Villa in 71 we have :
Won the third division  championship
League cup final
Won the league cup in 75
Won promotion to the first division
Won the league cup in 77
First division Champions last year
And now European cup winner
How can it get better?

If only I could find a phone box to call home, not that I've got many gilders left. Mom'll go barmy as I didn't send a postcard this morning to say I'd got here!

Back at the station, the Germans are looking absolutely stunned.

Meh. Too defensive. Withe nearly missed that chance. What were they doing starting a keeper carrying an injury? We need Ellis back etc

Thank fuck Greg Nash hasn't been invented yet.

Thank God my Dad decided to take me. He's a bit of a pessimist and said I had to go as they'll never make another one. But I reckon we'll show them all in years to come, especially as Ellis is out of the way.

Isn't Spink should a great prospect?  Never seen him before, but surely when Shilton hangs up his gloves soon-ish he'll be well in line.

I hope Greenwood doesn't regret leaving Morley & White out of the World Cup squad, especially now Brooking & Keegan could be crocked.
