This isn't about money.  It's a man putting his family first, nothing more.
In that case, fair play to the bloke. Nowhere in Birmingham looks like his home town and certainly his kids would not be as safe. If that is the reason then we should have massive respect for Ole and his family.

Sad time again for us Villains. A managerial nobody turns us down. I really do hope Randy and co have a plan otherwise it's going to just like the last two manager chases embarrassing.
I didn't want him but still gutted that he has turned us down.
You didn't want him, but you're still gutted he has turned us down?
Great logic there.
Yes gutted from a club point of view that a nothing of a manager turns us down. It's a matter of pride and he has hurt me.

And you wouldn't put your family ahead of the Villa?

Sorry but it's about our current owner and chief exec being unable to deal with modern day football. They really are useless.

Due to his family? Bollox. Over the last 3/4 days he has been saying if they make an offer I will take the job!
I'm a tad sceptical of that too. He's only just discussed it with his folks?

You expect his wife and 3 kids to make a snap decision over their futures? Or do you expect them to think and talk about it for a few days?

After all that happened that's absolutely heartbreaking... You just know someone else is going to get him in a couple of years time and he'll go on to do brilliantly, just to rub salt in the wound. It's so annoying that the whole thing blew up as it really caught peoples imagination and it's going to be really hard to find a candidate to top him. It's very annoying as candidates we'd have been delighted with last week suddenly look a bit drab in comparison. To be honest, I don't know who we should go for now... Maybe Rodgers to try and tap the potential aspect again, although I actually fear he'd be a bigger risk than OGS.

People change their mind. BFR did it twice and he only lived in Barnt Green.

That they may be but then they did manage to think of him in the first place. Anyway, we've no idea what has really happened and why just yet....

What a bloody fiasco eh ?

I have spent the last 4 days camped on here. Google searching the word Solskjaer for anything entered each hour. Ive been looking at Norwegian- English translations and even watched a fair chunk of the Molde game on a link the other day. I scoured YouTube for clips of that Ekrim bloke, finishing up looking at Man U reserves from 2010. Today I was even looking skyward to try and spot Falcon 7X private jets, which I am  now fully coversant with the operational workings of.

Well at least I didn't change my nickname. No fucker will ever be able to turn round to me and say they saw a diagonal line through an o in my name !

Well I blame you lot. I said all along we should have stuck with Mcleish !

And how do you come to that conclusion?

I hope there won't be too much criticism of OGS's decision, he won't have taken it lightly I'm sure. Current employers can be persuasive when they don't want to lose you. Its all too easy to use the 'better the devil you know' , 'you're still young, there will be other opportunities' and 'think of your family' cards.

A few weeks would be good, to make sure they are together as a unit. If the family is not happy then neither will Ole be.

Get a grip, man. It isn't heartbreaking. It is disappointing, yes, but keep it in perspective.

One thing I do think, though, is that the club will have been aware of the positive reaction to OGS and the degree to which it was because it was left-field thinking, promising root and branch change.

They're now in a situation where the man our fans were singing for on the last day of the season is going to look like a conservative choice.

If we're going for Lambert, then I hope to fuck we get him, because it really doesn't bear thinking where the search will lead if he ruled himself out.

Bare in mind recent events, is it worth sticking £10 on him now?
