Just because Sky Sports have said that doesnt mean its true Dave. Lets face it if there is only one candidate for the job he should have been signed up by now!

Solskjær seems to have said a lot so far (all the right things mind you) his club seems to be unhappy. The Norweign press
are having a big say and why not he is a big star in that country. But if it was going to be done shouldnt it have happened by now? Just in case say Liverpool or even West Brom stick their noses in.

You may have noticed Paul Lambert has said absolutely nothing. His club have said more or less nothing. Villa have said nothing.

Guess who the new managers going to be.

Lambert hasn't been contacted at all.

Are you 100% sure on that ?

He didn't say there was one candidate, he said Lambert hadn't been contacted.

Why? Do you have a different copy of "A Guide to Signing a New Football Manager Currently Employed in Norway" than the rest of us?

I've only got the 1998 edition with a foreword by Egil Olsen.

Hmmm, if there's a press conference coming up I think it may mean Solskjaer is staying. They've had a meeting and patched things up perhaps.

Just for the record and betting odds...I've just returned home from a "formal" job interview in Birmingham, but it was neither for Aston Villa, there was no private jet involved and I'm not from Norway, so please dont place your hard earned money backing me for the Villa job!

I saw the norwegian reporter on tv earlier but never saw mention of a press conference later - has this been confirmed and any time on it?
