If we make the offer, Solskjaer is coming to Villa. I'm sure he's weighed up all the arguments in his head, the pros and cons, moving his family, risking his burgeoning reputation, all sorts. They may want to clear the air so they don't part on such terrible terms as seemed the case this weekend just gone, but they're still parting if we want them to.

Worry more about our board reverting to their natural conservativism and not going for him!

I was being facetious, but it could be agreed and just be a clearing the air/no hard feelings meeting could it not?

I dont think anybody really knows what is going on at the moment. Just speculation and excitement from us all.
What a change to see so many positive posts on this site for a change.Great to see a bit of positive stuff after our season of dross,anger and despair.
A very important time for our club and crucial the right decisions are made for everybody concerned.
It is about time we had a good chance of qualifying for Europe again with a quality manager at the helm and a board who will back him.
Mid table mediocracy or worse is not where our Villa should be,never. So lets move onwards and upwards and get back to where we deserve to be,towards the top of the premier league fighting for major honours again.
This past season has been, for all of us concerned,just to much to take and may it never happen again.

Well, yes. And they have a very energetic popular press, and a country where not much happens.

In fairness, yes he is. He's already received, essentially, a Norwegian knighthood from the King, the youngest person ever to receive one. It's something like if Shearer won the league with Newcastle then got offered the Juventus job or something. Imagine if that happened here! Chaos would reign in the press.
