I have made a formal approach to the vending machine in the basement and asked for permission to speak to a Kit-Kat.

SSN-"Randy Lerner will fly back to Birmingham tomorrow to decide who will be the next Villa manager". Any body got anymore news on this or is it just disinformation?

Evening Mail reporting that as well.  According to them he is flying back to interview more candidates though.
I interpret it as he is flying back for the official unveiling when Faulkner brings OGS over in the morning.

You're all going to look foolish with your Norwegian name changes when Ian Dowie is unveiled (it's all a smokescreen the jet planes) as the new Aston Villa manager.

It will be all about bouncebackability then.

Do we know if Rokke has a bigger one than Randy? Because that will count for a shallow minded  chap who was prepared to sit on the bench at manu for 11 years and play 10 mins here and there instead of having the motivation to  move and  play  90 mins every week somewhere else.

I'd imagine that we've done things right to speak to him, but the 'formal approach' they mention is probably the stuff about releasing him from his contract and agreeing compensation.

We've viewed the house a couple of times, but haven't put an offer in yet!

That's my take on it too. Hope it really is...

Looks like the anti-OGS crowd already has a conductor...

I wonder if OGS has got fed up with us making him wait. Maybe sorting out a new deal at Molde?

I take it as MarkM being in with a very good chance of being the next manager of Aston Villa.

I would ask  the jury to ignore my previous remark in the light of current very sensitive situation.

I wonder if OGS has got fed up with us making him wait. Maybe sorting out a new deal at Molde?

Of all the scenarios available, I'd say that's the least likely. We'd have likely made him aware of the interview process schedule at the time of the first conversation, so he'd hardly be getting impatient - besides, if people like Fjortoft are right, the earliest OGS would take charge of us would be from the Norwegian mid-season break for the Euros, starting the 1st of June. Hardly likely to be rushed with that sort of schedule.

Anyway, with the way Molde have treated him this last week, and the fact that he has two years on his contract left to run anyway, I think he's unlikely to be signing a new deal any time soon.

I would ask  the jury to ignore my previous remark in the light of current very sensitive situation.

No worries Aftab, we all have lapses!

Yet Molde issued an official statement to say that they granted permission to speak to us on the quiet. They then proceeded to get pissed off when OGS jumed on a jet and was splashed all over the media.

I suspect OGS is going to speak to Rokke to clear the air before he leaves.
